It was billed as the battle of two giants in the ‘War of the Lords’ but England, in the end showed who the real lord was, after all. For India, it was a case of quicker-forgotten-the-better experience.
What went wrong? One disastrous move that cost India the match was when Dhoni decided not to start off with Ishant in the post-lunch session of the fourth day. Now, there are many theories floating around about that issue but at the end of the day, it is the captain who still needs to take responsibility for the sinking ship
What went right? Dhoni Bowling showed he never shuns aways from the resposibility
Now the Series lead by England is at 1-0….. The Indian will have to do better with the bowling and not completely rely on Zaheer.. The problem with the Indian team is that they rely tooo much on person to win a match instead of a combined team support and tactics and strategy involved!
We will have to wait and see if the Ace-bowler will be declared Fit for the Second test ! Otherwise it is upto Ishant Sharma to spearhead the bowling attack
Dravid kept to his name ‘ THE WALL’ after standing tall for 500 minutes and later getting out trying to fish the ball.. But he rewarded himself with his maiden century at Lords! Just have to wait and see if dravid will continue his form into the next Test
